We’re really proud of Asixa’s record in giving our staff opportunities to develop their careers and achieve their professional goals. That’s why it was rewarding to be recognised in this space at the Victorian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards 2013, as winner of the Victorian Training, Education and Development Award.
The win recognises our work this year in identifying our workforce’s professional objectives and helping them develop within the organisation. Back in April 2013, we conducted an employee survey, and while 81 per cent of participants were positive about their job satisfaction, many wanted to see greater opportunities for themselves at Asixa. We then set about identifying areas for us to let people up-skill and advance, and put staff through industry courses, professional development initiatives, mentoring from our leadership team, and internal advancement, including six promotions to senior positions.
Having staff with more skills in IT has also allowed us to progress initiatives like business analysis, which promises to deliver advantages for Asixa and our customers.
A huge congratulations to the Asixa staff who worked hard to develop their skills and careers this year – the award is a credit to their drive and passion for the business.
